Marketing Manager
SIS PIK is seeking an experienced and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our Marketing and Admissions team and support the continued growth of the school.
This is a leadership role for someone who can combine marketing strategy, enrolment growth, team management, data-driven decision-making, and strong execution.
The Marketing Manager will lead a team comprising Parent Relationship Officers (PROs), Admissions staff, and a Content Creator. The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall performance of the Marketing and Admissions function, ensuring the team operates with clear priorities, strong follow-up, accurate data, and a consistent focus on enrolment and parent experience. We are looking for a manager who can lead people, set direction, monitor performance, identify problems, and ensure the team delivers results.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Enrolment Strategy
- Develop and lead the school’s annual marketing and enrolment strategy in line with student enrolment targets and school objectives.
- Translate enrolment objectives into clear marketing priorities, campaigns, team responsibilities, and KPIs.
- Monitor enrolment performance and the prospective-family pipeline, identify gaps, and develop appropriate actions to keep the school on track.
- Identify market opportunities, competitor activity, target segments, and emerging trends that may affect enrolment.
- Continuously evaluate marketing performance and adjust strategies based on results.
Admissions & Conversion
- Oversee the Admissions function and the prospective-family journey from initial enquiry through school visit, application, enrolment, and onboarding.
- Monitor the enrolment funnel and conversion performance at each stage.
- Ensure leads are accurately recorded, assigned, followed up, and progressed through the school’s Sales Spreadsheet / CRM.
- Identify weaknesses in lead management or conversion and ensure corrective action is taken.
- Ensure prospective families receive a responsive, professional, accurate, and consistent experience.
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, manage, coach, and develop the Marketing and Admissions team.
- Establish clear individual and team responsibilities, objectives, KPIs, and expectations.
- Establish a strong operating rhythm through regular team meetings, pipeline reviews, KPI reviews, campaign planning, and action tracking.
- Ensure agreed actions have clear ownership and deadlines and are followed through to completion.
- Identify performance or capability gaps and provide appropriate coaching, training, or intervention.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
Marketing, PR, Events & Partnerships
- Oversee the school’s marketing campaigns, Open Houses, exhibitions, events, partnerships, community engagement, and other lead-generation activities.
- Take the lead in identifying, developing, and managing strategic external relationships and partnerships with preschools, companies, residential communities, organisations, media, and other potential referral or marketing partners.
- Develop partnership and referral arrangements that can contribute to student enrolment, lead generation, brand awareness, or the school’s presence within the local community.
- Use the wider Marketing and Admissions team to support the identification, coordination, execution, and follow-up of external partnership opportunities where appropriate.
- Ensure marketing activities have clear objectives, target audiences, KPIs, and follow-up plans.
- Evaluate activities based on measurable outcomes such as leads, conversion, enrolment, engagement, and brand impact.
Content, Digital & Brand Oversight
- Direct and oversee the Content Creator’s priorities, content plan, and output.
- Ensure social media, digital content, website content, photography, video, and other communications support the school’s marketing and enrolment objectives.
- Ensure the SIS PIK brand, value proposition, and key differentiators are communicated clearly and consistently.
- Use content and campaign performance data to guide future priorities.
Data, Reporting & Accountability
- Take ownership of the accuracy and integrity of Marketing and Admissions data.
- Monitor key metrics including leads, conversion, enrolment, campaign performance, retention, and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure performance claims, campaign results, and marketing expenditure are properly documented and verifiable.
- Translate data into clear insights, recommendations, and actions.
- Provide regular performance reporting to School Management.
- Ensure decisions are driven by evidence and results rather than activity alone.
Parent Engagement & Retention
- Oversee the Marketing function’s contribution to parent engagement, student retention, and re-enrolment.
- Monitor withdrawal and non-renewal trends and identify potential retention risks.
- Ensure relevant parent feedback and concerns are captured, escalated, and followed up.
- Work collaboratively with School Management, Academic, Finance, Operations, and other relevant teams to improve the prospective and existing parent experience.
Product Knowledge & Quality
- Ensure Marketing and Admissions staff maintain strong and accurate knowledge of the school’s curriculum, programmes, facilities, fees, admissions processes, policies, and key selling points.
- Coordinate regular product knowledge training and address identified knowledge gaps.
- Maintain sufficient knowledge across all areas of the Marketing and Admissions function to effectively review work, coach staff, identify problems, and step in when necessary.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in a marketing management, commercial, admissions, customer acquisition, or similar leadership role.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team, including setting KPIs, monitoring performance, coaching staff, and holding people accountable.
- Strong understanding of the customer acquisition and conversion funnel, from lead generation through conversion.
- Comfortable working with CRM systems, sales pipelines, spreadsheets, dashboards, and performance data.
- Able to analyse data and translate findings into practical actions and business decisions.
- Experience planning and evaluating marketing campaigns, events, partnerships, digital marketing, and other acquisition channels.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure follow-through.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with parents, staff, School Management, and external partners.
- Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, ownership, and accountability.
Experience in education or school admissions is an advantage, but strong candidates from other service-oriented or customer-focused industries are also encouraged to apply.
The Person We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership.
The successful candidate should be able to look beyond individual marketing activities and understand how the entire Marketing and Admissions function is performing. They should be comfortable asking questions, using data, challenging assumptions, identifying gaps, setting priorities, managing people, and ensuring actions are completed.
They do not need to personally execute every marketing activity. However, they should have sufficient practical understanding of admissions, digital marketing, content, events, partnerships, CRM, data, and customer engagement to effectively manage the people responsible for these areas.
Delegation of execution does not remove the Marketing Manager’s accountability for the performance of the function.
